Facebook opens first call centre in UK

As it is has now reached more than 4 million users, Facebook is starting to open up call centres to assist users in any issues that might encounter using the website. The call centre is already in construction and is expected to be finished by the end of 2010. This will house 143 agents who will address the users concerned either by phone or email. The toll free number for other countries is still under negotiation as Facebook is targeting to have a call centre established in Indonesia to assist users in Asia. Once Facebook is able to establish an agreement with the Indonesian government, construction of the call centre office will start. For the Future Facebook&rsquos CEO Mark Zuckerberg has a lot of things planned for the website and one of them includes incorporating video chat on the website. According to an insider, this facility is still being tested however the over-all result of the test is good. Currently, the website has about 3,000 applications. These applications are also being reviewed and tested so that unused applications can be removed from the website. From a boy&rsquos dorm room to its posh office in New York, Facebook has indeed come a long way and intends to stay until their users want them to.
